Special event at Apollo's Lyre Art Gallery
The Apollo’s Lyre Art Gallery is preparing a unique artistic treat for visitors during the 2010 Spring Art Walk. This year’s annual event will be held on May 29th, the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Located on the NE corner of Michigan Ave. and the I-75 Business Loop, the Apollo’s Lyre Art Gallery is the first Fine Art Gallery in Grayling, the AuSable Artisan Village. Visit us online www.winnerscircleart.com

A special event consisting of the visual, written and audio works of Michigan artists will be premiered to coincide with the Art walk. A total of 11 award winning artists will be displaying their artistic interpretations of each verse of AnnMarie Rowland’s poem, DAWN. This poem depicts the transition from night to dawn over a northern Michigan lake, giving the artists numerous opportunities to interpret the sights, sounds and feelings described. One or two, 2D or 3D images will depict each of the 16 verses of the poem. As visitors tour the gallery perusing the art works, they will hear the poem being read by author Christopher Knight. All art work will be available for purchase.

The following artists will be participating: Terry Dickinson – Kim Diment – Bernie Dosch – Carolyn Dubuque – Vickie Durfee – Nancy Faust – Jackie House – Mike Hyrman – Karla Kirkland - Judie Komraus – Rod Lawrence - Ken Wright

This special display will be on view for several weeks and all purchased works of art may be picked up at that time.
