| AuSable River Canoe Marathon Committee prepares for 63rd 2010 Marathon |
| The AuSable River Canoe Marathon has completed it's 62nd year with a record breaklinh 90 teams starting the event, the largest
field ever. Now the committee will be busy with organizational activities in preparation for the 63rd
year of North America's longest non-stop canoe race. This spectacular and historic event is held in Grayling the last full
weekend in July. For 2010 it begins at 9:00 p.m. on
Saturday July 24 and ends 120 miles and 14 to 18 hours later in Oscoda on the shores of Lake Huron.
The LeMans start of this race is one of the most exciting events in the history of sports. Check out their website for the

| Avita Water BLACK BEAR 2010 Bicycle Tour |
| This will be the 63rd year that Marathon Paddlers have raced through the night from Grayling paddling 60 to 90
strokes a minute for over 14 hours to reach Oscoda the following day. Sunday morning, eleven hours after the racing canoes
are on the river, the Avita Water BLACK BEAR Bicycle Tour will depart Grayling for Oscoda to catch the paddlers at the
end of their overnight adventure. This 100 mile bike tour is now in it's ninth year. Learn more about it:

| Boy Scout Troop 979 with Scoutmaster Loren Goodale, now has its own website hosted with grayling-area.com. This site
features a calendar of events, photos of troop activities and will soon have more information on Patrols and the Troop's
history. Boys at least 11 years old are invited to join in on the adventures of
Scouting.
